खुद एक्रोपोलिस के नीचे सेरापियम के भूमिगत अवशेष दबे पड़े हैं, जहां सेरापिस देवता के गूढ़ तथ्यों को अधिनियमित किया गया था और जिसके नक़्क़ाशीदार दीवारीय स्थलों ने मान्यतानुसार प्राचीन पुस्तकालय के लिए बहुतायत भंडार स्थल प्रदान किया है।
