वैश्विक तापन तथा तापमान में वृद्धि का भी संक्रामक बीमारियों के प्रसार में योगदान है क्योंकि इससे रोग के वेक्टर फैलतै हैं, नए क्षेत्र संकटग्रस्त होते हैं तथा लोगों को मलेरिया, स्लीपिंग सिकनेस, डेंगू बुखार, पीत ज्वर तथा अन्य कीटाणुजनित रोगों का संकट पैदा होता है।

उसमें आगे कहा गया: “रक्त-आधानों से अन्य कई रोगों के हस्तांतरित होने की सूचना मिली है, जिनमें परिसर्प (हर्पीज़) वाइरस संक्रमण, संक्रामक मोनोन्युक्लिओसिस (एपस्टाइन-बार वाइरस), टॉक्सोप्लाज़्मोसिस (मस्तिष्क और आँखों का संक्रामक रोग), ट्रिपनोसोमिअॅसिस [अफ्रीकी निद्रित रोग और शागास रोग], लीशमैनिअॅसिस (काला आज़ार), ब्रूसेल्लोसिस [तरंगित ज्वर], टाइफस (तंद्रिक ज्वर), फ़ाइलेरिया रोग, खसरा, साल्मोनेल्लोसिस तथा कोलोरॅडो चीचड़ी ज्वर।”
