1. The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, today addressed the Silver Jubilee Foundation Day function of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC).

2. The Convention at Tumakuru is being organised to mark the Silver Jubilee Celebrations of the Ramakrishna Vivekananda Ashram, Tumakuru, to celebrate the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s address in Chicago, as well as celebrate Sister Nivedita’s 150th birth anniversary.

तुमकुरु में युवा सम्मेलन का आयोजन शिकागो में स्वामी विवेकानंद के संबोधन की 125वीं जयंती के साथ साथ सिस्टर निवेदिता की 150ीं जयंती का समारोह मनाने के लिए तुमकुरु में रामकृष्ण विवेकानंद आश्रम की रजत जयंती समारोहों के अवसर पर किया जा रहा है।

3. I note that this conference is focusing on sub-regionalism and how it can catalyze activities of regional organizations – in this particular case SAARC, which itself has traveled a long way, and is at the threshold of its silver jubilee.

4. * A part of the celebratory events being organised to commemorate the silver jubilee of ASEAN-India dialogue partnership, the AICS aims to accelerate existing connectivity prospects; identify issues of concern, evolve suitable policy recommendations and develop strategies to enhance economic, industrial and trade relations between ASEAN and India.
