भारत परमाणु हथियारों के भण्डारों में कमी लाने संबंधी अमरीका और रूस द्वारा उठाए गए आरंभिक कदमों का स्वागत करता है परन्तु निश्चित रूप से हमें सुरक्षा प्रवृत्तियों के प्रति भी सजग रहना होगा जो एशिया प्रशांत क्षेत्र में सामरिक सशस्त्रीकरण में वृद्धि एवं शस्त्रों की तैनाती से संबंधित हैं।
