On 22-23 December 2006, technical level talks on Sir Creek led by Hydrographers of India and Pakistan were held in Rawalpindi to decide the coordinates for a joint survey of the Sir Creek and adjoining areas without prejudice to the positions of the two countries, as well as to hold discussions simultaneously on the maritime boundary.

22-23 दिसम्बर, 2006 को दोनों देशों की स्थिति के प्रति निष्पक्ष रहते हुए सर व्रीक और आस-पास के क्षेत्र के संयुक्त सर्वेक्षण और साथ ही समुद्री सीमा पर चर्चा आयोजित करने के लिए समन्वयक का निर्धारण करने हेतु रावलपिंडी में भारत और पाकिस्तान के जलविज्ञानियों के नेतृत्व में सर व्रीक पर तकनीकी स्तर की वार्ता हुई।
