1. It has facilitated collective responses to challenges such as natural disasters, pandemics, climate change and energy security.

2. Climatic catastrophes and pandemics demonstrated the vulnerability of human existence to forces beyond its control despite the immensity of scientific advances.

पर्यावरण के संकट और महामारियों ने दिखाया कि मनुष्य का अस्तित्व कितना संवेदनशील है जो कुछ ऐसी ताकतों पर निर्भर है जो उसके नियंत्रण में नहीं हैं-चाहे जितना वैज्ञानिक विकास हो गया हो।

3. This allows us to contribute actively on issues such as regional and international security, climatic change and environmental protection, economic growth, pandemics, energy and terrorism.

इसकी वजह से हम क्षेत्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा, जलवायु परिवर्तन एवं पर्यावरण संरक्षण, आर्थिक विकास, महामारी, ऊर्जा और आतंकवाद जैसे मुद्दों पर सक्रिय रूप में योगदान दे पाते हैं।

4. Indian assistance was sought for (a) establishing a National Centre for Research in Animal Diseases (Pandemics) in Mongolia; (b) acclimatization of high-yielding and fast-ripening varieties of crops/plants suitable for the Mongolian climatic conditions; (c) water harvesting and construction of dams; (d) biotechnology; and (e) development of the Mongolian dairy sector.

(ख) मंगोलियाई जलवायु स्थितियों के लिए उपयुक्त फसलों/पौधों का उच्च उत्पादन एवं शीघ्र पकने वाली किस्मों के लिए उपयुक्त स्थितियां उपलब्ध कराना; (ग) जल संरक्षण तथा बांधों का निर्माण; (घ) जैव-प्रौद्योगिकी; और (ङ) मंगोलियाई डेयरी सेक्टर का विकास।

5. In this context, India has effectively used the East Asia Summit, the premier forum at the level of Heads of State and Government for strategic dialogue and cooperation in the region on political, security and economic issues, to put forward its views on vital subjects such as maritime security, international terrorism, disaster management, access to clean energy, combating pandemics, etc.

इस संदर्भ में, भारत ने पूर्वी एशिया शिखर बैठक का कारगर ढंग से उपयोग किया है, जो राजनीतिक, सुरक्षा एवं आर्थिक मुद्दों पर इस क्षेत्र में सामरिक वार्ता एवं सहयोग के लिए शासनाध्यक्षों एवं राष्ट्राध्यक्षों के स्तर पर सर्वोच्च संस्था है तथा इसका उद्देश्य महत्वपूर्ण विषयों जैसे कि समुद्री सुरक्षा, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आतंकवाद, आपदा प्रबंधन, स्वच्छ ऊर्जा तक पहुंच, महामारियों से निपटना आदि पर अपने विचारों को प्रस्तुत करना है।
