2. The Nizamat or criminal jurisdiction continued to remain with the Nawab at Murshidabad while the Company was to collect the revenue , maintain the army , and be responsible for the administration of civil justice .

निजामत अर्थात दांडिक अधिकारिता मुर्शिदाबाद के नवाब के ही हाथ में रही जबकि कंपनी को राजस्व एकत्र करने , सेना का रख - रखाव करने और सिविल न्याय प्रदान करने का उत्तरदायित्व सौंपा गया .
