3. * To root out terrorism, taking into account its linkages with illegal trafficking in narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and small arms and to make coordinated and concerted efforts to combat terrorism; and call for an early conclusion of the proposed UN Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism and completion of the ratification of the SAARC Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters.

* स्वापक औषधियों, मन:प्रभावी पदार्थों एवं छोटे हथियारों की अवैध ट्रैफिकिंग के साथ आतंकवाद की सहलग्नताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए इसका जड़ से उन्मूलन करना और आतंकवाद से लड़ने के लिए समन्वित एवं समवेत ढंग से प्रयास करना; और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आतंकवाद पर प्रस्तावित यूएन व्यापक अभिसमय की शीघ्र निष्पत्ति एवं आपराधिक मामलों में पारस्परिक सहायता पर सार्क अभिसमय की पुष्टि को पूरा करने के लिए आह्वान करना।

4. We welcomed and accepted the offer of India to be the lead country. We reiterated the significance of the work done in the Joint Working Group on Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crimes and its four sub-groups covering Intelligence Sharing; Legal and Law Enforcement Issues; Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Prevention of Illicit Trafficking in Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances and Precursor Chemicals.

हमने अग्रणी देश बनने के भारत के प्रस्ताव का स्वागत किया और इसे स्वीकार कर लिया और हमने आतंकवाद और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय अपराध का मुकाबला किए जाने से संबद्ध संयुक्त कार्यकारी दल और इसके चार उप-सूहों, जिनमें आसूचना का आदान-प्रदान, विधिक एवं कानून प्रवर्तन मुद्दे, आतंकवाद के वित्तपोषण का मुकाबला तथा स्वापक औषधों एवं मन:प्रभावी पदार्थों तथा इसे तैयार करने वाले रसायनों के व्यापार पर प्रतिबंध लगाना शामिल है, में किए गए महत्वपूर्ण कार्यों को दोहराया।
