14. It is a matter of regret that globally, we are still far from realizing the goal of universal primary education, infant and child mortality and maternal mortality rates continue to remain high and access to universal reproductive health is still distant in many parts of the world.

यह खेद का विषय है कि अभी भी हम विश्व स्तर पर व्यापक प्राथमिक शिक्षा के लक्ष्य को प्राप्त करने से काफी दूर है, शिशु एवं बाल मृत्यु दर तथा मातृत्व मृत्यु दर अभी भी काफी ऊंचे स्तर पर है और विश्व के अनेक भागों में व्यापक प्रजनन स्वास्थ्य तक पहुंच उपलब्ध नहीं हो पाई है।
