1. Hence, the High Court judgement does not warrant any modification in the existing provisions.

8. The duty of the accountant ( Ganaka ) was to make calculations regarding the suit claims and the duty of the scribe ( Lekhaka ) was to record the proceedings of the court which included the plaint , depositions of witnesses and the judgement of the court .

गणक का काम वाद के दावों का परिकलन करना और लेखक का काम न्यायालय की कार्रवाई का अभिलेख रखना था . अभिलेख में वादपत्र , साक्ष्य और न्यायालय के निर्णय सम्मिलित थे .

9. The Supreme Court has affirmed that India has the jurisdiction to try the case even as it has given another opportunity vide its judgement of 18 January, to the petitioners to raise the issue of jurisdiction by adducing evidence before the Special Court to be set up for trial of this case.

उच्चतम न्यायालय ने यह सुनिश्चित किया है कि भारत के पास इस मामले में मुकदमा चलाने का क्षेत्राधिकार है, भले ही इसने 18 जनवरी के अपने निर्णय के माध्यम से याचिकाकर्ता को इस मामले में गठित विशेष न्यायालय के समक्ष साक्ष्य प्रस्तुत करके अधिकार क्षेत्र का मुद्दा उठाने का अवसर दिया हो ।

Kautilya ' s rules of legal procedure deal not only with the examination of the plaintiff and the defendant and witnesses , but also with such technical matters as framing the plaint , allowing adjournments to the plaintiff and the defendant for stating their cases , disqualifications for entering into legal transactions and the grounds for judgement of the parties to ' the suit .

कौटिल्य के विधि प्रक्रिया संबंधी नियमों में न केवल वादी , प्रतिवादी और साक्षियों की परीक्षा का उल्लेख है अपितु ऐसे तकनीकी विषयों की भी चर्चा है जैसे कि वादपत्र की रचना , वादी तथा प्रतिवादी को अपने अपने पक्ष कथन के लिए सुनवाई का स्थगन , विधिक संव्यवहारों के लिए अनर्हताएं और वाद के निर्णय के आधार .

11. A sociologist who wrote about the recent conflicts in the Balkans said about certain reputable authors and public-opinion makers: “I was dumbfounded to see [them] adopt a style which panders to their compatriots’ basest impulses, stirs up their passionate hatred, blinds their judgement by urging them to see no behaviour as taboo . . . , and falsifying reality.”
