39. As you are aware, the national leadership of India and Indonesia in the past led by our former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and President Sukarno collaborated very closely in supporting the cause of Asian and African independence and also laid the foundation of the Afro-Asian and Non-Aligned movements at the Bandung Conference in 1955.

जैसा कि आप सभी जानते हैं, अतीत में हमारे पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री जवाहरलाल नेहरू तथा इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रपति सुकर्णों की अगुवाई में भारत एवं इंडोनेशिया के राष्ट्रीय नेतृत्वों ने एशिया एवं अफ्रीका के देशों की आजादी के लिए किए जा रहे आंदोलनों में एक – दूसरे का काफी सहयोग किया और वर्ष 1955 में बाडुंग सम्मेलन में अफ्रीका – एशियाई तथा निर्गुट आंदोलनों की नींव रखी।

40. (a) & (b) Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) is a proposed Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between sixteen countries namely the 10 countries of ASEAN (Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) and their 6 FTA partners (also known as AFP’s or ASEAN FTA Partners) namely India, Australia, China, Japan, Korea and New Zealand.

(क) और (ख) क्षेत्रीय व्यापक आर्थिक भागीदारी (आरसीईपी) 16 देशों के बीच एक प्रस्तावित मुक्त व्यापार करार (एफटीए) है जिसमें आसियान के 10 देश (ब्रुनेई, कंबोडिया, इंडोनेशिया, लाओ, मलेशिया, म्यामांर, फिलीपींस, सिंगापुर, थाईलैंड तथा वियतनाम) और उनके भारत, ऑस्ट्रेलिया, चीन, जापान, कोरिया तथा न्यूजीलैंड जैसे छह एफटीए सहभागी देश (जो एएफपी अथवा आसियान एफटीए भागीदार के नाम से जाने जाते हैं) शामिल हैं।

41. We also have about USD 15 billion of investment into Indonesia. About 15 Indian companies are active in this market but it was agreed that all efforts should be made for both sides to get into the infrastructure space in each other’s countries given the tremendous opportunities that have opened up as a result of policies which have been announced by the two Governments.

लगभग 15 भारतीय कंपनिया इस बाजार में सक्रिय हैं परंतु इस बात पर सहमति हुई कि दोनों देशों की सरकारों द्वारा जिन नीतियों की घोषणा की गई है उनके परिणामस्वरूप जो प्रचुर अवसर उत्पन्न हुए हैं उनको देखते हुए अवसंरचना क्षेत्र में शामिल होने के लिए दोनों पक्षों की ओर से हर संभव प्रयास होने चाहिए।

42. We hoped that the process of finalisation of some key projects including the creation of a sustainable IT infrastructure in CLMV countries; establishment of a Tracking and Data Reception Station and Data Processing Facility for ASEAN in Ho Chi Minh City and the Upgradation of Biak II in Indonesia; and progress towards cooperation between the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity [ACB] and the National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) of India would provide further momentum.

हम उम्मीद करते हैं कि सी एल एम वी देशों में स्थाई आई टी अवसंरचना का सृजन, हो ची मिन्ह शहर में आसियान के लिए ट्रैकिंग एवं डाटा रिसेप्शन स्टेशन एवं डेटा प्रोसेसिंग सिस्टम की स्थापना तथा इंडोनेशिया में बियास-IIका उन्नयन तथा आसियान जैव विविधता केंद्र (ए सी बी) एवं भारतीय राष्ट्रीय जैव विविधता प्राधिकरण (एन बी ए) के बीच सहयोग की दिशा में प्रगति आदि जैसी कुछ प्रमुख परियोजनाओं को अंतिम रूप देने की प्रक्रिया से इस साझेदारी को और गति प्राप्त होगी।

43. They reviewed the various bilateral mechanisms that I am talking about, the foreign office consultations that were held last year, the joint commission meeting, our security dialogue and then they decided to accelerate economic cooperation increasing Indian company’s participation in infrastructure sector in Indonesia and the Indonesian President conveyed his support for the Indo-Pacific concept and said that he would work with India to ensure peace and security in the region.

उन्होंने पिछले साल आयोजित की गई विभिन्न द्विपक्षीय तंत्रों की समीक्षा की, विदेशी कार्यालय के परामर्श, संयुक्त आयोग की बैठक, हमारी सुरक्षा वार्ता और आर्थिक सहयोग में तेजी लाने का निर्णय लिया गया, जिसमें इंडोनेशिया की बुनियादी सुविधाओं के क्षेत्र में भारतीय कंपनियों की भागीदारी बढ़ रही है और इंडोनेशियाई राष्ट्रपति ने भारत-प्रशांत अवधारणा के प्रति अपना समर्थन व्यक्त किया और कहा कि वे इस क्षेत्र में शांति और सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए भारत के साथ काम करेंगे।
