1. Interdependence in a globalised world means that no country, howsoever powerful it may be, can take on the entire burden of economic adjustment and economic decision-making that may be required to manage the global system in an orderly fashion.

Answer: Well there is no place for violence in our democracy, therefore any act of violence is to be condemned, on that point I am absolutely clear that nothing is gained by pursuit of violence, howsoever angry one may feel, there are more civilised ways of expressing one's anger and frustration.

उत्तर : हमारे लोकतंत्र में हिंसा के लिए कोई स्थान नहीं है, इसलिए हिंसा के किसी भी कृत्य की निंदा करनी चाहिए। इस बिंदु पर मैं बिल्कुल स्पष्ट हूं कि हिंसा के रास्ते से कुछ भी हासिल नहीं हो सकता, चाहे कोई कितना भी क्रोध कर ले। अपने क्रोध एवं निराशा को व्यक्त करने के अनेक सभ्य तरीके हैं।
