1. It is estimated that by the 2050s, with a temperature increase of 2°C-2.5°C compared to pre-industrial levels, water for agricultural production in the river basins of the Indus, Ganges and Brahmaputra will reduce further and may impact food adequacy for some 63 million people.

अनुमान है कि 2050 तक औद्योगिकीकरण पूर्व तापमान की तुलना में 2 से 2.5 डिग्री सेल्सियस की वृद्धि से सिंधु, गंगा और ब्रह्मपुत्र के नदी थालों में कृषि उत्पादन के लिए पानी और कम हो जाएगा तथा इससे करीब 6 करोड़ 30 लाख लोगों को पर्याप्त भोजन उपलब्ध कराने के काम में बाधा उत्पन्न हो सकती है।
