22. * The Leaders emphasized the need for an equitable and balanced international system of rules governing intellectual property, allowing among others, for the protection of indigenous knowledge systems against abuse and for preventing the misappropriation of genetic resources, and associated traditional knowledge.

24. It is our conviction that as long as delegations adhere to the principles and provisions of the UNFCCC and follow faithfully, the mandate spelt out in the Bali Action Plan, a comprehensive, balanced and equitable outcome in Copenhagen will be achieved.

In this regard, we recall the Addis Ababa Action Agenda on Financing for Development including its emphasis on inclusive cooperation and dialogue among national tax authorities on international tax matters with increased participation of developing countries and reflecting adequate, equitable, geographical distribution, representing different tax systems.

28. * We reaffirm our commitment to achieving a fair and modern global tax system and promoting a more equitable, pro-growth and efficient international tax environment, including to deepening cooperation on addressing Base Erosion and Profit Shifting, promoting exchange of tax information and improving capacity-building in developing countries.

29. In Barker v Cox (1876) 4 Ch D 464 the purchaser of property which was included in a matrimonial settlement paid the price in advance to one of the trustees, and the purchaser was held to have an equitable lien in investments which the trustees subsequently acquired with the purchase price.

30. We will continue to exert all our efforts towards what the Bali Action Plan has mandated us to do i.e. aim for a comprehensive, balanced and above all, an equitable outcome at Copenhagen, which has a level of ambition in consonance with the urgent and compelling nature of the gloal challenge of climate change.

हम बाली कार्य योजना के अधिदेशों की दिशा में सभी प्रकार के प्रयास करना जारी रखेंगे अर्थात, कोपेनहेगन में व्यापक, संतुलित और सबसे महत्वपूर्ण न्यायसंगत परिणाम की प्राप्ति जिसमें जलवायु परिवर्तन की वैश्विक समस्या के तात्कालिक और बाध्यकारी स्वरूप के अनुसरण में महत्वाकांक्षा के स्तर को भी जगह दी जाए।

31. Seats on the Council are allocated ensuring equitable geographic rotation among the United Nations regional groups, with 14 being allocated to the African Group, 11 to the Asia-Pacific Group, 6 to the Eastern European Group, 10 to the Latin American and Caribbean Group and 13 to the Western European and Others Group.

परिषद की सीटें भूगोलीय क्षेत्र के आधार पर किया जाता है, जिसमें 14 सीटें अफ्रीकी राज्यों को, 11 सीटें एशियाई राज्यों, 6 सीटें पूर्वी यूरोपीय राज्यों, 10 सीटें लातिनी अमरीकी राज्यों और कैरीबियन राज्यों तथा 13 सीटें पश्चिमी यूरोपीय व अन्य राज्यों के लिए होती हैं।

32. Both governments pledged to enhance bilateral collaboration in controlling and preventing diseases, assuring food and medical product safety, and increasing biomedical and translational research and development with the goal of identifying new and effective methods of medical treatment and ensuring equitable access of such outcomes to the citizens of both the countries.

दोनों सरकारों ने बीमारियों के नियंत्रण और रोकथाम में सहयोग करने, खाद्य एवं चिकित्सा उत्पाद सुरक्षा आश्वासन देने और जैव चिकित्सा एवं अनुवाद अनुसंधान को बढ़ावा देने तथा इलाज के नए और प्रभावी तौर तरीकों की पहचान करने के साथ-साथ दोनों देशों के नागरिकों को इन अनुसंधानों के लाभ सुनिश्चित करने की वचनबद्धता व्यक्त की।

33. We need o redouble efforts in the multilateral negotiations to ensure full, effective and sustained implementation of the UN Framework Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, and to conclude these negotiations with a balanced, comprehensive and above all, an equitable outcome, with equal emphasis on all four pillars – mitigation, adaptation, finance and technology transfer.

संयुक्त राष्ट्र रूपरेखा अभिसमय तथा इसके क्योतो प्रोतोकोल के पूर्ण, प्रभावी एवं स्थाई कार्यान्वयन का सुनिश्चय करने तथा संतुलित, व्यापक एवं इन सबसे आगे सभी चार स्तंभों अर्थात उपशमन, अनुकूलन, वित्त एवं प्रौद्योगिकी हस्तातंरण पर समान बल के साथ एक साम्यपूर्ण परिणाम के साथ इन वार्ताओं को निष्पन्न करने के लिए हमें बहुपक्षीय वार्ताओं में अपने प्रयासों को दुगुना करने की जरूरत है।

34. Ministers concurred that the agreement must provide an equitable, inclusive and effective framework within which Parties can enhance actions to keep the world on a path to limiting the increase in average global temperature to below 2 degree Celsius and to enable adaptation in response to unavoidable adverse effects of climate change.

सभी मंत्रियों ने इस बात पर सहमति व्यक्त की कि करार के तहत एक साम्यपूर्ण, समावेशी एवं कारगर रूपरेखा का प्रावधान होना चाहिए जिसके अंदर पक्षकार औसत वैश्विक तापमान में वृद्धि को 2 डिग्री सेल्सियस से नीचे सीमित करने और जलवायु परिवर्तन के अपरिहार्य प्रतिकूल प्रभावों के जवाब में अनुकूलन को समर्थ बनाने के लिए विश्व को पथ पर बनाए रखने के लिए प्रयासों में वृद्धि कर सकें।

35. We need to redouble efforts in these multilateral negotiations, especially after last year’s Copenhagen Conference, to ensure full, effective and sustained implementation of the UN Framework Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, and to conclude these negotiations with a balanced, comprehensive and above all, an equitable outcome, with equal emphasis on all four pillars – mitigation, adaptation, finance and technology transfer.

जिससे कि संयुक्त राष्ट्र रूपरेखा अभिसमय और इसके क्योतो प्रोतोकोल का पूर्ण, प्रभावी और सतत कार्यान्वयन सुनिश्चित किया जा सके और प्रोत्साहन, अनुकूलन, वित्तपोषण एवं प्रौद्योगिकी अंतरण जैसी चारों आधारशिलाओं पर समान बल देते हुए संतुलित, व्यापक और न्यासंगत परिणाम के साथ इन वार्ताओं को संपन्न किया जा सके।

36. It is an imperative for us, with our large and vulnerable population, to ensure full, effective and sustained implementation of the UN Framework Convention and its Kyoto Protocol, and to conclude these negotiations with a balanced, comprehensive and above all, an equitable outcome, with equal emphasis on all four pillars – mitigation, adaptation, finance and technology transfer.

राष्ट्र अभिसमय की रूपरेखा और इसके क्योतो प्रोतोकोल का पूर्ण, प्रभावी और सतत कार्यान्वयन सुनिश्चित करें और संतुलित, व्यापक एवं न्यायसंगत तरीके से इन वार्ताओं के समापन में अपनी भूमिका निभाएं। इन वार्ताओं में प्रशमन, अनुकूलन, वित्तपोषण और प्रौद्योगिकी अंतरण जैसे चारों आधारों पर समान रूप से बल दिया जाना चाहिए।
