74. India has been relatively better placed in terms of the impact of the global financial crisis on account of three factors: the inherent strength of its economy, the strength of our domestic consumption and the government's effective action in terms of fiscal stimulus, growth packages and monetary policies.

From our perspective, our priorities of this G20 Summit are going to be, the cross-border mobility of professionals, particularly in services, the reduction in remittance costs from overseas Indians, poverty eradication, moderation in consumption and more sustainable lifestyles and improved technology access particularly for renewable and post-harvest agriculture activities.

हमारे दृष्टिकोण से इस जी -20 शिखर सम्मेलन की हमारी प्राथमिकताएं पेशेवरों की सीमा पार से गतिशील, विशेष रूप से सेवाओं में, प्रवासी भारतीयों से प्रेषण की लागत में कमी, गरीबी उन्मूलन, खपत में कमी और विशेष रूप से अक्षय और फसल कटाई के बाद कृषि गतिविधियों के लिए अधिक स्थायी जीवन शैली और बेहतर प्रौद्योगिकी की पहुँच, होंगी।

In addition , programmes and policies were formulated with the following objectives in view : ( 1 ) to ensure adequate supply of wage goods and mass consumption articles at reasonable prices , ( 2 ) to concentrate on the development of industries with large domestic market and export potential , and ( 3 ) to usher in ' sunrise ' industries with high growth potential and relevance to our needs .

President Obama said that the world will not go back to what it was before the crisis hit; that US consumers will change their habits; that the kind of excessive consumption which was fed by the rest of the world and actually helped to create growth in the rest of the world is unlikely to return any time soon.

Instead of burning wood or coal as domestic fuel in rural areas , large plants for the production of bio - gas may be installed to ensure a regular supply of cooking gas to houses ( one such common unit is in operation in Punjab ) . To reduce the fuel consumption and pollution in homes , high efficiency burners and smokeless chulhas may be employed .

ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में घरेलू ईंधन के लिए लकडी अथवा कोयला जलाने के स्थान पर बायो - गैस बनाने के बडे संयंत्र लगाये जा सकते हैं ताकि घरों को खाना बनाने की गैस की नियमित आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित की जा सके ( पंजाब में इस तरह की एक सांझा इकाई कार्य कर रही है ) घरों में ईंधन की खपत और प्रदूषण को कम करने के लिए उच्च क्षमता वाले बर्नरों और धुआंरहित चूल्हों का उपयोग किया जा सकता है .
