It has also facilitated sharing of our concerns about the emergence of Af-Pak region as an epicentre of terrorism, countering the false propaganda being disseminated by Pakistan on violations of human rights in J&K, alerting Indian agencies about the assessment of foreign counterparts regarding various threats posed to India’s security, expediting Mutual Legal Assistance and extradition requests, controlling drug trafficking and Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) and for emphasizing the importance of early adoption of a Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism (CCIT) under the auspices of the UN.

इससे अफगानिस्तान-पाकिस्तान क्षेत्र के आतंकवाद की धुरी के रूप में उभरने के बारे में हमारी चिंताओं का आदान-प्रदान करना, जम्मू-कश्मीर में मानवाधिकारों के उल्लंघनों के संबंध में पाकिस्तान द्वारा किए जा रहे झूठे प्रचार का मुकाबला करना, भारत की सुरक्षा के लिए खड़े किए गए विभिन्न खतरों के बारे में विदेशी समकक्षों के आकलन के बारे में भारतीय एजेंसियों को सतर्क करना, परस्पर विधिक सहायता और प्रत्यर्पण अनुरोधों पर शीघ्र कार्रवाई करना, मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी और नकली भारतीय मुद्राओं (एफआईसीएन) को नियंत्रित करना तथा यूएन के तत्वाधान में व्यापक अंतरराष्ट्रीय आतंकवाद अभिसमय (सीसीआईटी) को शीघ्र स्वीकार करने के महत्व पर बल देना शामिल है।
