1. There is a Rail Corridor between Colombo and Chennai which would involve some ferry, some transshipment and creating a Rail Corridor; and maybe even a ferry service between Cochin and Colombo, for instance.

कोलंबो और चेन्नै के बीच एक रेल कॉरिडोर है जिसमें फेरी सेवा और नौवहन को भी शामिल की जानी चाहिए और यह भी हो कता है कि कोचीन और कोलंबो के बीच भी फेरी सेवा चलाई जाए।

2. Often called the “Venice of the East” because of its beauty and plentiful waterways, Cochin, on the Arabian Sea, provides direct access to the spices that have long thrived in the lush, tropical climate along the Malabar coast.

अरब सागर के किनारे, कोचिन, जो अपनी सुन्दरता और प्रचुर नहरों के कारण अक़सर “पूर्व का वेनिस” कहलाता है, मसालों तक सीधी पहुँच कराता है, जो मलाबार तट के किनारे हरे-भरे उष्णकटिबंधी जलवायु में लम्बे समय से फले-फूले हैं।

3. The major projects approved during the Plan period were the giant Maharashtra Gas Cracker Complex ( MGCC ) , benzene recovery facilities at Cochin and expansion schemes of IPCL in the public sector and additional capacity for DMT / PTA , PSF , NFY , synthetic rubber and linear alkyl benzene ( LAB ) in the private sector .

( लिनियर पर अल्काइल बेंजीन ) के लिए अतिरिक्त क्षमता .
