1. Here, the fundamental question is whether or not the international community, represented by this Council, can fulfil its responsibility of limiting the extent of Palestinian blood and life lost and homelessness and agony imposed before the occupiers and aggressors are tamed and the fundamental rights of Palestinians to self-determination in their own land are realized.

La question fondamentale qui se pose ici est de savoir si la communauté internationale, représentée par le Conseil de sécurité, peut assumer ses responsabilités afin de limiter la mort de Palestiniens, le phénomène des sans-abri et l’agonie imposée, de maîtriser les occupants et les agresseurs, et de garantir le respect des droits fondamentaux des Palestiniens à l’autodétermination sur leurs propres terres.
