1. For his Daibutsu project--an exhibition pavilion for an ancient statue of the Buddha, he borrows the local process of Hanchiku (a kind of adobe or rammed clay), and makes use of its technical properties (humidity control, natural ventilation).

Pour son projet Daibutsu, pavillon d'exposition pour une statue ancienne de Bouddha, il revisite le procédé local du Hanchiku (sorte de pisé) et exploite ses qualités techniques (régulation de l'humidité, ventilation naturelle).
