Following a trip to Rabat, Algiers and Tindouf, the chair of the European Parliament’s ad hoc Delegation to Western Sahara and Vice President of the European Parliament, Catherine Lalumière, presented a very polemical draft report in April 2002 that provoked heated debate about the viability of the 1991 settlement plan.

La Présidente de la délégation du Parlement européen pour le Sahara occidental et également Vice-présidente du Parlement européen, Catherine Lalumière, a présenté en avril 2002, à l’issue d’un voyage à Rabat, Alger et Tindouf, un projet de rapport très polémique, qui a suscité de vifs débats quant à la viabilité du plan de paix de 1991.
