Military organizations, on the other hand, have historically tolerated, occasionally insisted upon, and have only recently attempted to restrain aggressive behaviour, intolerance of out-group individuals (who may range from friendly civilians to enemy soldiers), occasional abuse of alcohol, in-group bonding, contempt for financial goals, political abstemiousness and the personal (ofttimes physical) resolution of disputes between soldiers.
