1. The international community should follow through expeditiously on its commitment to provide additional resources.

Le Comité recommande à l’État partie d’adopter rapidement le projet de loi sur le droit d’asile, en vue d’appliquer les conventions internationales auxquelles il est partie sur le droit d’asile et sur l’octroi de statut de réfugié sans discrimination aucune.

In this connection, the Committee cites General Assembly resolutions 61/148, 63/243 and 65/200, in which the Assembly strongly urged States parties to accelerate their domestic ratification procedures with regard to the amendment to the Convention concerning the financing of the Committee and to notify the Secretary General expeditiously in writing of their agreement to the amendment.

Recalling the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and all relevant international treaties, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and the Optional Protocol thereto, as well as the Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance, and encouraging all States that have not ratified or acceded to the afore-mentioned treaties to consider doing so expeditiously,
