1. The Sweetgrass First Nations Language Council Inc. was incorporated in 1989 and has served as a delivery agent in the province of Ontario for both the Department of Canadian Heritage (PCH) and the Assembly of First Nations (AFN) with the regional allotment of funding for the Aboriginal Languages Initiative (ALI).
