1. Mr President, the resolution before Parliament derives its legal justification from an institutional framework where it is not hard to acknowledge the commitment of the European institutions, particularly the European Parliament, to the important and necessary action to stamp out one of the most dangerous and vile forms of criminal trafficking in existence: the trafficking of human beings.

Herr Präsident, der dem Parlament vorgelegte Entschließungsantrag bezieht seine rechtliche Begründung aus einem institutionellen Rahmen, in dem die Verpflichtung der europäischen Institutionen und insbesondere des Europäischen Parlaments zu der wichtigen und notwendigen Aktion zur Ausrottung einer der gefährlichsten und schändlichsten Formen des illegalen Handels überhaupt, nämlich des Menschenhandels, unschwer zu erkennen ist.
