2. We present the case of a 43-year-old patient with sensorineural hearing loss and the finding of an aberrant internal carotid artery in the left tympanic cavity that was causing pulsatile tinnitus.

Wir präsentieren einen Fall eines 43 jährigen Patienten mit einseitiger sensorineuraler Schwerhörigkeit und Zufallsbefund einer aberrierende A. carotis interna im linken Mittelohr, welche einen pulsierenden Tinnitus verursacht.

Die Traumatologie als wesentlicher Teilbereich der HNO-Heilkunde umfasst neben Verletzungen der Ohrmuschel im otologischen Bereich insbesondere Verletzungen des Trommelfells und der Ossikelkette, laterale Schädelbasisfrakturen mit gegebenenfalls begleitenden Labyrinth- und Fazialisschädigungen sowie im weiteren Sinne auch die Commotio labyrinthi, die akustischen Traumata (akustischer Unfall, Knalltrauma, Explosionstrauma und akutes Lärmtrauma) und die Barotraumata.

4. All children underwent diode laser tonsillotomy in contact mode (812 nm, continuous wave, 13 W) with or without additional procedures (adenotomy, paracentesis, tympanic drainage). All surgeries were carried out under endotracheal anesthesia by two ENT physicians in private practice in an outpatient surgery center.

Auf Grund von in 210 Fällen durchgeführten konservativen tympanoplastischen Eingriffen haben die Verfassergefunden, daß bei chronischer Otorrhöe sowie bei Tympanosklerose das Granulationsgewebe des Aditus so massiv entwickelt and derart gelagert sein kann, daß dadurch Antrum und Paukenhöhle voneinander getrennt werden. In diesen Fällen kommt es zu einem Aditus-Verschluß einer Occlusio aditus.

6. On the basis of a larger serie of degeneration studies on cats it appears that the postganglionic fibres of this bloodvessel independent system originate in the superior cervical ganglion and reach the inner ear either via tympanic plexus — facial nerve — internal acoustic meatus or via auricular branch of X — facial nerve and internal acoustic meatus.

Aufgrund einer größeren Anzahl von Durchtrennungsversuchen an Katzen schließen wir, daß die postganglionären Fasern des gefäßunabhängigen Systems ihren Ursprung im Ganglion cervicale craniale nehmen und das Innenohr entweder via Plexus tympanicus — Nervus facialis — innerer Gehörgang oder via Ramus auricularis vagi — Nervus facialis und inneren Gehörgang erreichen.
