Ein 131⁄2 Jahre altes Mädchen mit tuberöser Sklerose und Neurofibromatose Typ 1 wurde zur präoperativen Verkleinerung renaler Angiomyolipome mit Rapamycin (Sirolimus) behandelt. Neben einer Größenreduktion der Angiomyolipome wurde ein positiver Effekt auf den Epilepsieverlauf gesehen. Zerebrale Tubera und faziale Angiofibrome wurden nicht beeinflusst.

Koenen-Tumoren bei der tuberösen Sklerose, multiple kutane Leiomyome und uterine Leiomyome mit Nierenzellkarzinomen, das Gardner-Fibrom mit dem Gardner-Syndrom und multiple Basalzellkarzinome im jüngeren Lebensalter mit dem Gorlin-Syndrom dar.
