1. Eckart Marsch (born February 1, 1947 in Friedrichstadt) is a German theoretical physicist, who worked from 1980 to 2012 at the originally named Max Planck Institute for Aeronomy, from 2004 on named Max Planck Institute for Solar System Research (MPS) in Katlenburg-Lindau on the physics of the solar wind, solar corona and space plasmas and taught at the University of Göttingen.

Eckart Marsch (* 1. Februar 1947 in Friedrichstadt) ist ein deutscher theoretischer Physiker, der von 1980 bis 2012 am Max-Planck-Institut für Aeronomie, ab 2004 Max-Planck-Institut für Sonnensystemforschung (MPS) benannten Institut in Katlenburg-Lindau zur Physik des Sonnenwindes, der Sonnenkorona sowie der Weltraumplasmen geforscht und an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen gelehrt hat.
