1. As a harbor pilot he should be able to maneuver a ship through, to and from places in narrow waters unfamiliar to the shipmaster, and place it at anchorage, buoys or wharves, as required.

Als Hafenlotse muß er in der Lage sein, ein Schiff in engen Hafengewässern, die dem Schiffsführer unbekannt sind, zu manövrieren und es je nach Bedarf auf die Reede, an eine Boje oder einen Kai zu bringen.
