2. The following influences of manufacture were tested: Varying thickness of abrasion, surface upgrading by dust-fillers and water repellent agents on sanded and unsanded boards, urea-formaldehyde and PVAc-binders, reduction of pressing time by elevating the pressing temperature.

Getestet wurden folgende Einflüsse: Verschieden dicker Abschliff, Oberflächenvergütung mit Staubbinde- und Hydrophobierungsmitteln von ungeschliffenen und geschliffenen Platten, Harnstoff-Formaldehydharz-und Polyvinylacctat-Dispersions-Kleber sowie die Reduzierung der Preßzeit bei erhöhter Temperatur.

3. Wettability measurements on sanded wood surfaces and strength tests on shear test specimens were used to assess the ability of the sanding treatment to improve adhesive performance. The effect of sanding on wettability and shear strength varied according to the abrasiveness of the sanding treatment.

Die Benetzbarkeit der verschiedenen Oberflächen und die Scherfestigkeit der verleimten Proben wurden bestimmt, um Anhaltspunkte für die Verbesserung der Verleimung geschliffener Oberflächen zu erhalten.
