1. - in Central America, the plan is for the Delegation to take charge of all the implementation of the post-Hurricane-Mitch reconstruction programme; as the Council has not granted the Commission's request for extra staff (20), the temporary solution found has been to redeploy six official's posts from the RELEX DG, backed up by administrative and technical local staff (ALAT) and technical assistance.

- In Zentralamerika soll die Delegation in Nicaragua die gesamte Durchführung des Wiederaufbauprogramms im Anschluß an den Wirbelsturm Mitch übernehmen. Da der Rat die von der Kommission beantragten zusätzlichen 20 Stellen nicht bewilligt hat, werden vorläufig 6 Beamtenstellen umgesetzt und zur Unterstützung ALAT-Bedienstete/TH-Mitarbeiter eingestellt.
