The invention relates to a method for producing anellated triazoles, according to which substituted N-aminoureas are reacted with formaldehyde or paraformaldehyde to obtain the corresponding methylene-imine compounds and these are then cyclized in the presence of catalytic quantities of acid or in the presence of a metal oxide to tetrahydro-4H-1,3,4-ox(or thia)diazines, after which the anellated triazoles are prepared using phosgene or a phosgene substitute.
