When referring to ‘Jamón de Huelva’, the Inventario Español de Productos Tradicionales [Spanish Inventory of Traditional Products], published by the Ministry, gives ‘Jamón de Jabugo’ as an alternative name and identifies it with ‘the mountainous area of the province of Huelva, at altitudes of over 600 m, and in particular the villages of Cortegana, Jabugo, Castaño del Robledo, Cumbres Mayores and Aracena’.
