1. Since 2000 studies of LIDAR and high-resolution aeromagnetic data have identified scarps near Woodinville which trenching has confirmed to be tectonically derived and geologically recent.

2. A system is described which permits the systematic comparing between Lidar reflectivity on the one hand, and aerosol concentration as well as aerological data, on the other hand, taking advantage of the alpine situation (high mountain stations, cable cars used as instrument carriers).

Es wird ein System beschrieben, welches unter Ausnutzung der Vorteile des Hochgebirges (Hochgebirgsstationen, Seilbahngondeln als Instrumententräger) erlaubt, systematische Vergleiche zwischen Lidar-Rückstreuung einerseits und Aerosolkonzentrationen sowie aerologischen Daten andererseits anzustellen. 3. The ‘New standby lidar instrument’ (Neslie) project was designed to develop a multi-axis laser with new signal processing algorithms for the stand-by channel, thus increasing aircraft safety by decreasing the probability of failure of both aircraft speed monitoring channels.

Das Neslie-Projekt ("New standby lidar instrument") ging an den Start, um einen Mehrachslaser mit neuen Signalverarbeitungsalgorithmen für den Stand-by-Kanal zu entwickeln, wobei die Flugsicherheit durch eine Verringerung der Ausfallwahrscheinlichkeit beider Flugzeugdrehzahlüberwachungskanäle erhöht wird.
