1. A separate Ground Lease Agreement between Verne and the Treasury of Iceland was signed on 9 May 2008.

2. With Hetzel's help, Verne rewrote the story and in 1863 it was published in book form as Cinq semaines en ballon ( Five Weeks in a Balloon ). Acting on Hetzel's advice, Verne added comical accents to his novels, changed sad endings into happy ones, and toned down various political messages.

3. In the spring of 1954, fitted with a "dummy" rear fin, Redfish played the part of Jules Verne's Nautilus in the Walt Disney film 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea where the Nautilus's afterdeck was constructed on the Redfish's deck for a scene where the captain puts visitors out on the deck while the ship submerges.

Ausgerüstet mit einer Dummy-Heckflosse, spielte Redfish im Frühjahr 1954 die Rolle von Jules Vernes Nautilus im Walt-Disney-Film 20.000 Meilen unter dem Meer, wo das Achterdeck der Nautilus auf dem Deck der Redfish nachgebaut wurde.
