Phytotherapeutische und homöopathische Erzeugnisse sind chemisch-synthetischen allopathischen Tierarzneimitteln vorzuziehen, sofern sie tatsächlich eine therapeutische Wirkung auf die zu behandelnde Krankheit haben

4. ‘2. Phytotherapeutic and homeopathic products, trace elements and products listed in Section 1 of Annex V and in Section 3 of Annex VI shall be used in preference to chemically-synthesised allopathic veterinary treatment or antibiotics, provided that their therapeutic effect is effective for the species of animal, and the condition for which the treatment is intended.’ ;

„(2) Phytotherapeutische und homöopathische Präparate, Spurenelemente und die Erzeugnisse gemäß Anhang V Abschnitt 1 sowie Anhang VI Abschnitt 3 sind gegenüber chemisch-synthetischen allopathischen Tierarzneimitteln oder Antibiotika bevorzugt zu verwenden, sofern ihre therapeutische Wirkung bei der betreffenden Tierart und der zu behandelnden Krankheit gewährleistet ist.“

5. (a) Phytotherapeutic (e.g. plant extracts (excluding antibiotics), essences, etc.), homeopathic products (e.g. plant, animal or mineral substances) and trace elements and products listed in Part C, section 3 of Annex II, shall be used in preference to chemically-synthesised allopathic veterinary medicinal products or antibiotics, provided that their therapeutic effect is effective for the species of animal, and the condition for which the treatment is intended;

B. Pflanzenextrake (ausgenommen Antibiotika), Pflanzenessenzen usw.), homöopathische Erzeugnisse (z. B. pflanzliche, tierische und mineralische Stoffe) sowie Spurenelemente und die in Anhang II Teil C Abschnitt 3 aufgeführten Erzeugnisse sind chemisch-synthetischen allopathischen Tierarzneimitteln oder Antibiotika vorzuziehen, sofern sie tatsächlich eine therapeutische Wirkung auf die betreffende Tierart und die zu behandelnde Krankheit haben.

However, when animals become sick or injured, they should be treated immediately by giving preference to phytotherapeutic or homeopathic medicinal products and by limiting to a strict minimum the use of chemically-synthesised allopathic medicinal products in order to guarantee the integrity of organic production for consumers it should be possible to take restrictive measures such as doubling the withdrawal period after use of chemically synthesised allopathic medicinal products;

Wenn jedoch ein Tier erkrankt oder sich verletzt, sollte es unverzüglich behandelt werden; dabei sind pflanzliche oder homöopathische Tierarzneimittel vorzuziehen und der Einsatz chemisch-synthetischer allopathischer Arzneimittel auf das unabdingbare Mindestmaß zu beschränken. Damit die Ganzheitlichkeit der biologischen Erzeugung für den Verbraucher gewährleistet ist, sollte es möglich sein, einschränkende Maßnahmen zu treffen, wie z. B. die Verdoppelung der Wartezeit nach Verabreichung chemisch-synthetischer allopathischer Arzneimittel.
