Es wird ein Fall eines einseitig auftretenden, überzähligen Hilfsmuskels beschrieben, der auf dem Unterkieferast medial des M. depressor labii mandibularis eines weiblichen Stücks Damwild vorkam, und ein zweiter Fall, bei dem ein kleiner Hilfsmuskel einseitig bei einem weiblichen Stück Rotwild (Alttier) auftrat, der die aborale Portion des M. malaris mit der Fascia parotidea verband.
