5. Clearly, the timing of ratification of the Cotonou Agreement will have a major effect on the actual level of decisions and payments.

Es liegt auf der Hand, dass der Zeitpunkt der Ratifizierung des Abkommens von Cotonou sich wesentlich auf das tatsächliche Niveau der Finanzierungsbeschlüsse und Auszahlungen auswirken wird.

6. Recommends that the post-Cotonou agreement goes beyond economic questions and promotes an efficient political dialogue; recalls that political dialogue is one of the keys to ensure aid performance and effectiveness;

7. Shortly after the ban was lifted, a 12-acre [5 ha] plot of land was acquired in Calavi, a village not far from Cotonou, and an adjoining plot of 10 acres [4 ha] was purchased later.

Kurz nach Aufhebung des Verbots wurden in Calavi, einem Dorf unweit von Cotonou, 5 Hektar Land erworben, und später kam noch ein angrenzendes 4 Hektar großes Grundstück hinzu.

8. The Financial Protocol attached as Annex 1 to the ACP-EC Partnership Agreement, signed in Cotonou on 23 June 2000, establishes in its paragraph 2 a 9th EDF for African, Caribbean and Pacific countries of a total amount of up to EUR 13.5 billion.

11. While the initial development needs of Timor Leste were taken care of under the EC budget, there is no provision for further funding beyond 2005, when Timor Leste is expected to ratify the Cotonou Agreement, as this would be incompatible with the existing ALA regulation, which does not allow ALA funding in favour of ACP Group member countries.

9] Während die Entwicklungshilfe für Timor-Leste vorerst aus dem EG-Haushalt finanziert wird, ist eine Finanzierung über 2005 hinaus nicht vorgesehen, da Timor-Leste dann das Cotonou-Abkommen ratifiziert haben dürfte und eine solche Finanzierung der geltenden ALA-Verordnung zuwiderliefe, wonach ALA-Mittel nicht zugunsten von AKP-Ländern verwendet werden dürfen.

12. With branches in Rome at the Pontifical Lateran University, in Washington, Mexico City and Valencia, with the academic centres of Cotonou (Benin), São Salvador da Bahia (Brazil), and Changanacherry (India), whose incorporation into the Institute is already under way, and with the forthcoming opening of the centre in Melbourne (Australia), the Institute will be able to count on its own centres on the five continents.

Mit seinen Abteilungen in Rom an der Päpstlichen Lateranuniversität, in Washington, Mexiko-Stadt und Valencia, mit den akademischen Zentren in Cotonou (Benin), Salvador do Bahia (Brasilien) und Changanacherry (Indien), deren Eingliederungsprozeß ins Institut schon begonnen hat, und mit der bevorstehenden Eröffnung des Zentrums in Melbourne (Australien) wird das Institut über eigene Einrichtungen in fünf Kontinenten verfügen.
