1. Traumatic bitemporal hemianopia is not only caused by mechanic lesions of the optic chiasma: vascular insufficiency has to be considered too.

2. Contraindications are lesions of the bulbus oculi and the fundus, lesions of the chiasma opticum and a posttraumatic amaurosis caused by a sinus-cavernosus-fistula.

Kontraindikationen sind Bulbus- und Augenhintergrundverletzungen, Läsionen im Bereich des Chiasma opticum sowie eine posttraumatische Amaurose infolge einer Sinus-Cavernosus-Fistel.
