1. Two readers analyzed the CT angiography (CTA) with respect to 1.) type and extent of fractures and 2.) trauma-associated pathologies of the vessels from the aortic arch to the cerebrum.

Die CT-Angiographie (CTA) dieser Patienten wurde von 2 Radiologen bzgl. folgender Kriterien bewertet: 1) Art und Ausdehnung der als Einschlusskriterium gewählten Frakturen sowie 2) Vorliegen traumaassoziierter Gefäßveränderungen vom Aortenbogen bis nach intrazerebral.

Durch Gewalteinwirkungen von vorn oder hinten gegen den Kopf kann es durch Verschiebung des Großhirns gegenüber Schädelkalotte und Dura zum Abriß zahlreicher oder sämtlicher Vv. cerebri sup. kommen, ohne daß Schädelbrüche vorzuliegen brauchen.
