1. Stage I encompasses ENE- to NE-trending lineations; it is closely related to the subsidence of the Permo-Carboniferous Erbendorf Trough.

2. Recent investigations revealed that the Osning thrust originates as a low angle plane in the southern marginal fault of the Ibbenbüren Carboniferous block.

Neuere Untersuchungen ergaben, daß die Osning-Überschiebung als flache Störung in der steilen südlichen Randverwerfung der Ibbenbürener Karbonscholle wurzelt.

3. 4.1 km Upper Carboniferous and 1.6 km Lower Rotliegend grey fluviolacustrine deposits and additional 1.8 km Upper Rotliegend red alluvial deposits were accumulated.

In diesem wurden 4,1 km mächtiges Oberkarbon und 1,6 km mächtiges Unterrotliegend in grauer fluviolakustriner Fazies und schließlich 1,8 km rotes alluviales Oberrotliegend abgesetzt.
