The present invention relates to a process for producing acicular reinforcing fibres, comprising the process steps of a) providing fibrous raw material, especially bamboo, b) coarsely comminuting the raw material; c) at least partly freeing the coarsely comminuted raw material from non-fibrous material, optionally with subsequent classification; d) dividing the material to form fibres or fibre aggregates; e) classifying the fibres or fibre aggregates at least as a function of the length thereof and diameter thereof; and e) optionally individually or collectively repeating one or more of process steps b), d) and e); where f) at least one of process steps b), d) und e) is executed in an apparatus selected as a function of a specification to be obtained in the reinforcing fibres.

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Herstellen von nadelartigen Verstärkungsfasern, aufweisend die Verfahrensschritte a) Bereitstellen von faserigem Rohmaterial, insbesondere Bambus, b) Grobzerkleinern des Rohmaterials; c) Zumindest teilweises Befreien des grobzerkleinertem Rohmaterials von nichtfaserigem Material gegebenenfalls mit anschließender Klassierung; d) Zerfasern des Materials unter Ausbildung von Fasern oder Faserbündeln; e) Klassieren der Fasern oder der Faserbündel zumindest in Abhängigkeit ihrer Länge und ihres Durchmessers; und e) gegebenenfalls einzelnes oder gemeinsames wiederholden eines oder mehrerer der Verfahrensschritte b), d) und e); wobei f) wenigstens einer der Verfahrensschritte b), d) und e) in einer Vorrichtung ausgeführt wird, die ausgewählt ist in Abhängigkeit einer zu erhaltenden Spezifikation der Verstärkungsfasern.
