1. Obstruktion gegen Nichtregierungsorganisationen, Einschüchterung Oppositioneller, Diskriminierung von Minderheiten, Festnahmen und Misshandlungen sowie alle anderen festgestellten Mängel lassen uns für die Nachfolge des Mubarak-Regimes das Schlimmste befürchten.

Sabotage of non-governmental organisations, intimidation of opponents, discrimination against minorities, arrests and torture and all the other failings on record lead us to fear the worst for what will follow the Mubarak regime.

2. Keinem kann gleichgültig sein, was unmittelbar hinter der Grenze geschieht: Restriktionen und Druck auf die NRO seitens der Behörden, Einschüchterung, Verfolgung und Inhaftierung von Aktivisten der demokratischen Opposition, darunter der Führer der Jugendbewegungen "Belarussische Volksfront" und "Junge Front".

After all, one cannot remain indifferent to what one can see happening just across the border: restrictions and administrative pressure on NGOs, intimidation, persecution and imprisonment of democratic opposition activists, including leaders of the youth movements known as the Belarusian Popular Front and Young Front.
