삽주[―쭈][명사]국화과의 다년초. 산지의 건조한 곳에 나는데, 줄기 높이 30∼100cm. 잎은 길둥글고 가장자리에 톱니가 있으며, 7∼10월에 줄기 끝에 흰 꽃이 핌. 한방에서 덩어리진 뿌리를 백출(白朮), 덩이가 지지 않은 뿌리를 창출(蒼朮)이라 하여 약재로 씀. 산강(山薑). 산계(山□). 산정(山精).
