About 80 years after the Jews’ return, Nehemiah embarked on an extensive rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls.

Using acetic-acid bacteria, they were able to “rebuild” the glucose molecule into one of ascorbic acid, thus producing synthetic vitamin C.

We shall follow this procedure in our listing below, inserting the gates not mentioned in the reconstruction account but named in the description of the inauguration procession (Ne 12), along with gates spoken of in other scriptures, some of which are merely other names for those in Nehemiah’s record.

4. 중국에는, 「중국 재건」(China Reconstructs)지에서 이렇게 시인하는 바와 같이, 크나큰 문제가 있다. “중국 정부에서 담배 광고를 금지하고, 신문 및 잡지 보도를 통해서 흡연의 해로운 결과에 대해 누차 경고하고, 담뱃값이 계속 오르는데도, 중국에서 흡연자의 수는 끊임없이 증가하고 있다.”

China has an enormous problem, as the magazine China Reconstructs admits: “Despite the Chinese government’s ban on cigarette advertising, frequent newspaper and magazine reports warning of the harmful effects of smoking, and the ever-increasing price of cigarettes, the number of smokers in China continues to rise.”
