1. This act passed Congress by an overwhelming bipartisan majority and was reaffirmed by a unanimous vote of the Senate only six months ago.

2. President Obama’s immigration reform proposal endorses key elements of the Bipartisan Framework on Comprehensive Immigration, and has specific proposals to address status of illegal immigrants and improving legal immigration.

राष्ट्रपति ओबामा का आव्रजन सुधार प्रस्ताव व्यापक आव्रजन पर द्विभाजक ढाँचे के मूल तत्वों तथा अवैध आप्रवासियों की स्थिति को संबंधित करने के लिए विशिष्ट प्रस्तावों तथा वैध आव्रजन को सुधारने का समर्थन करता है।

3. I believe in that...(inaudible)... the unanimous support of the International Atomic Energy Agency, all 45 members of the Nuclear Suppliers Group, 298 members of our House of Representatives, and 86 members of our Senate, that is an enormous bipartisan margin.

4. (c) In the consideration of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), 2017 by the US House of Representatives, an amendment proposed by a bipartisan group of Congressmen seeking, inter alia, to recognize India as a major defence partner of the US, and to enhance India-US defence cooperation in co-production and co-development, was adopted.

(ग) अमरीकी हाउस आफ रिप्रेजेंटेटिव द्वारा राष्ट्रीय रक्षा प्राधिकरण अधिनियम (एन डी ए ए), 2017 पर विचार किए जाते समय कांग्रेस मेन के एक द्विदलीय समूह द्वारा प्रस्तावित एक संशोधन को स्वीकार किया गया, जिसमें अन्य बातों के साथ-साथ, भारत को अमरीका का एक प्रमुख रक्षा साझेदार के रूप में मान्यता देने और रक्षा उपकरणों के सहउत्पादन तथा सहविकास में भारत-अमरीका रक्षा सहयोग को बढाने की मांग की गई है।
