1. Science 80, published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science, concurs: “The evidence that cigarettes shorten life is overwhelming; the causal connection is as firmly established as any in medicine.”

In der von der Amerikanischen Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaft herausgegebenen Zeitschrift Science 80 wird diesem mit folgenden Worten beigepflichtet: „Wir haben überzeugende Beweise dafür, daß durch das Rauchen von Zigaretten das Leben verkürzt wird.

2. Alongside the arguments put forward by the French Republic, with which it concurs, the Kingdom of the Netherlands refers to the risks associated with trafficking in plant protection products stemming from the importation of imitations.

Das Königreich der Niederlande schließt sich dem Vorbringen der Französischen Republik an und verweist zudem auf die Gefahren des Schwarzhandels mit Pflanzenschutzmitteln aufgrund der Einfuhr von Fälschungen.

3. The Court of Justice wishes to state, at the outset, that it endorses the finding made by the Court of Auditors, following its examination of the Court of Justice's expenditure on buildings, that the budgetary and financial framework within which the European institutions have to meet their accommodation requirements is inappropriate; it therefore fully concurs with the recommendations made by the Court of Auditors with a view to remedying the situation.

Vorab möchte der Gerichtshof darauf hinweisen, daß er sich der vom Rechnungshof zum Abschluß seiner Prüfung der Ausgaben für Gebäude des Gerichtshofes getroffenen Feststellung, daß der haushaltstechnische und finanzielle Rahmen, in dem die europäischen Organe ihren Immobilienbedarf decken müßten, ungeeignet sei, anschließt und daß er folglich die zum Zweck der Abhilfe gegebenen Empfehlungen des Rechnungshofes voll und ganz unterschreibt.
